Mechanical Engineer (Petrol Chainsaws)

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to support mechanical design work across the full product lifecycle for petrol chainsaws within the forestry & garden domain. You will work in a structured development environment with clear methodologies, collaborating closely with key stakeholders to deliver robust, manufacturable designs.

• Develop and maintain parts and subsystems based on requirements, lessons learned, and design guidelines
• Perform detailed component design in 3D using CATIA V5 in accordance with established methodology
• Take an active role in validation of parts and concepts through EP-series, prototypes, and design samples
• Ensure DFM/DFA/DFAA principles are applied in design solutions
• Verify designs through simulations such as Moldex, FEA, and tolerance analysis
• Establish and update geometric specifications and drawings, including after internal and external drawing reviews
• Manage ECR/ECO activities for assigned components and subsystems
• Collaborate with key stakeholders and keep relevant roles informed on progress and status
• Maintain documentation in line with the defined process

• Good knowledge of CAD and PLM tools: CATIA V5 and SmarTeam or Teamcenter
• Strong experience in product development and mechanical engineering
• Good knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Good knowledge of root cause analysis
• Collaborative mindset and willingness to share knowledge across teams
