About the job

Do you want to play an important role in developing the Machine functionality and performance for Volvos market leading Articulated Haulers?

Join us in a cross-functional team working close to both the code implementation and the physical product.

This is us

Product Platform Large & Heavy Articulated Hauler is part of the Volvo CE Technology organization and is involved in the complete machine life cycle, making sure our products are configured and developed in an optimized way, meeting customer needs, business expectations and product targets.

We work in a global product context and interact across the whole Technology domain.

This position is onsite in Braås 25 min from Växjö.

What you will do

  • You will deliver embedded software and end-to-end machine functionality, as part of a cross-functional agile team.
  • You will be focused on requirement definition and support implementation and verification to secure the complete team delivery.
  • You will collaborate with System Owners on function and system requirements outside the agile team, securing performance and compliance.

The team works close to the physical product shaping machine functions and validating performance continuously.

We work according to Model Based Systems Engineering and have our requirements defined in a system model, using systems modelling language.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about machine functionality and design to good requirements, driving our market Leading position for Articulated Haulers.

You understand the general product development process and systems engineering well. You see the importance of good requirements shaping the product and driving efficiency in our development.

You are interested in learning and interaction with different domains and with different engineering disciplines.

You are comfortable working in agile environments, embracing change and continuous improvement. You are transparent, committed, and reliable which builds trust among colleagues. You believe in the power of working together as a team.

We think that you are an experienced engineer that has background in working with systems engineering and modelling for functional requirements and embedded software, but at the same time we are open to more junior applicants. If you don’t meet every single qualification listed, we still encourage you to apply. The right mindset and willingness to grow with us are just as important.


Qualifications

  • You have an engineering degree in a relevant area
  • Familiar with systems engineering, functional requirements and embedded software
  • Experience of working in agile teams
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English
  • In previous experiences, have shown that you have drive and accountability


Nice to have

  • Experience from system and function development for vehicles or machinery
  • Experience from Model Based Systems Engineering and SySML
  • Experience within Systems and Software architecture
  • Experience in Functional Safety or Product Cyber Security
  • Good communication skills in Swedish
