As a Senior Test Automation Engineer, you will be instrumental in ensuring the quality of our client's cutting-edge investment funds trading systems. This role combines expert automation with strategic manual testing, integrating robust frameworks into CI/CD pipelines to deliver reliable financial applications.

Work tasks

This role involves designing and developing scalable test automation frameworks, automating functional, regression, and integration tests, and executing manual test cases. You will collaborate with development and DevOps teams to integrate automated testing into the CI/CD pipeline, manage test data, analyze results, and report defects. The focus is on driving process efficiency and quality improvements for critical investment systems.

• Designing and developing scalable, maintainable, and reusable test automation frameworks.
• Automating test processes for functional, regression, and integration testing.
• Planning, designing, and executing manual test cases, including exploratory testing.
• Collaborating with Development, DevOps, and Product Management teams for CI/CD integration.
• Manage test data, analyze results, and report defects
• Drive continuous improvements in test processes, quality, and efficiency

We are looking for

• Strong proficiency in Java (21+), object-oriented programming, and design patterns
• Experience with Spring Boot and backend/integration testing
• Hands-on experience in test automation using tools such as Playwright or Selenium, and JUnit/TestNG or similar
• Solid knowledge of API testing (e.g., REST Assured)
• Good understanding of SQL and database validation
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines using tools like Git and Jenkins
• Good English communication skills.

Meritorious:

• Experience with OpenAPI / AsyncAPI
• Experience with complex, distributed systems (preferably event-driven, e.g., Kafka)
