Test Automation Engineer

Mission/Role Overview

• We are looking for a Test Automation Engineer to strengthen and further develop automated testing within our development teams. The role focuses on building, maintaining, and improving stable and efficient automated test solutions in a CI/CD-driven environment.
• You will act as a go-to person for test automation within the team, providing guidance on structure, best practices, tools, and priorities. While there is no formal people management responsibility, the role includes a coaching and advisory responsibility in test automation.
• The assignment is fully focused on automated testing; manual testing is not part of the role.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test solutions using Python
• Build and manage stable test rigs and test environments
• Ensure test automation runs efficiently in CI/CD pipelines
• Contribute to the development of common test automation practices and standards
• Support development teams with test automation expertise and guidance
• Improve and evolve the organization's long-term test strategy
• Work closely with development teams in an Agile/Scrum environment

Required Qualifications

• Strong experience in Test Automation
• Experience working in Agile / Scrum teams
• Solid knowledge of Python for building and maintaining automated tests
• Experience with automated test flows in CI/CD pipelines
• Experience working close to hardware (e.g., industrial or system-level environments)
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team
• Very good communication skills in English and Swedish
• Experience with Pytest
• Good understanding of software testing principles

Meritorious / Nice to Have

• Experience working in a Test Lead–like role
• Ability to write or understand code in C
• Experience with hardware-near or embedded testing
