Senior Data Analyst Consultant

Assignment Overview:

Our client is seeking a Senior Data Analyst Consultant to support data-driven initiatives within a transforming organization moving toward cloud-based solutions, particularly within Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

This role offers the opportunity to work with complex datasets and contribute across the full analytics lifecycle, from data collection and transformation to visualization and business insight generation. The consultant will collaborate closely with both technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure data is structured, reliable, and actionable.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with business stakeholders to identify analytical needs and translate them into data-driven solutions
• Extract, cleanse, and transform data from multiple sources to support analytical use cases
• Design and maintain data models and structures within data warehouse environments
• Develop and optimize scalable data pipelines with a strong focus on data quality and performance
• Build semantic layers to enable self-service analytics capabilities for end users
• Create impactful dashboards and visualizations, effectively communicating insights to diverse audiences
• Work collaboratively across data engineering and business teams to enhance data accessibility and usability
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of methodologies, standards, and knowledge sharing within the data team

Required Experience & Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in data analysis or related roles
• Strong proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation
• Hands-on experience with DBT for data transformation and modeling
• Experience developing and working with semantic data models (preferably using Looker or similar tools)
• Fluent in Swedish and English, both written and spoken

Preferred (Nice-to-Have) Skills:

• Experience with Looker for semantic modeling and reporting
• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), especially BigQuery
• Knowledge of GitHub for version control
• Experience with BI and visualization tools such as Tableau
• Exposure to Connected Sheets or similar tools

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)

Additional Details:

• Work Schedule: Full-time (40 hours per week)
• Language Requirement: Swedish and English (Professional proficiency)
