System Developer .NET / Software Architect

Job Description

Our client is seeking a Senior System Developer with strong .NET expertise who can also take on responsibilities as a Software Architect. This role is part of a dynamic environment driven by ongoing developments in the electricity market, energy transition, and increased collaboration across Nordic and European regions.

The selected candidate will contribute to the development, enhancement, and maintenance of critical support systems and web applications. The role involves working across both development initiatives and IT management functions, ensuring that systems meet high standards of performance, scalability, and security.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead system development activities while contributing as a software architect
• Design, build, and validate scalable and secure system solutions
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including requirement specifications and architectural designs
• Update and manage system-level documentation for existing and new applications
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders across the organization
• Participate in incident handling, including troubleshooting, debugging, and issue resolution
• Support ongoing IT operations and lifecycle management of applications
• Contribute across the development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, UX considerations, testing, and coordination
• Ensure adherence to Agile methodologies, participating in sprint-based delivery cycles
• Incorporate IT security principles into development and architectural decisions

Required Experience

• Senior-level experience as a System Developer with exposure to software architecture responsibilities
• Proven experience working in Agile environments with sprint-based delivery models
• Hands-on involvement in both development and system management (maintenance and enhancements)
• Experience in designing and implementing scalable, secure applications
• Strong understanding of system architecture and interest in IT security practices
• Ability to work effectively in both large and small team environments
• Experience collaborating with multiple stakeholders across technical and business teams

Skills Required

• Strong expertise in .NET Core / ASP.NET
• Experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines
• Proficiency in Entity Framework Core and MS SQL
• Solid knowledge of front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Experience working with REST APIs
• Familiarity with VBA in Excel
• Understanding of modern development and deployment practices

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of IT security requirements and secure development practices
• Exposure to power systems or energy sector projects

Education

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

Language Requirements

• English – Professional Proficiency
• Swedish – Professional Proficiency
